2-methyl-maf is an opioid analgesic that is an analog of fentanyl. 2-methyl-maf has similar effects to fentanyl, but is far more potent due to increased binding affinity to its target site. Since fentanyl itself is already highly potent, 3-methylfentanyl is extremely dangerous when used recreationally, and has resulted in many deaths among recreational opioid users ingesting the drug. Side effects of fentanyl analogs are similar to those of fentanyl itself, which include itching, nausea and potentially serious respiratory depression, which can be life-threatening. Fentanyl analogs have killed hundreds of people throughout Europe and the former Soviet republics since the most recent resurgence in use began in Estonia in the early 2000s, and novel derivatives continue to appear.
2-methyl-maf is a research chemical, and unfit for human consumption. As a potentially dangerous chemical, it should be used only in a laboratory or forensic environment.
2-methyl-maf was also reported by media as the identity of the anaesthetic “gas” Kolokol-1 delivered as an aerosol during the Moscow theater hostage crisis in 2002 in which many hostages died from accidental overdoses of the narcotic. The opiate antidote naloxone was on-hand to treat the victims of the crisis, but, whether due to their incarceration or lack of food water and sleep, or due to the novel nature of the still-unconfirmed compound used, acute symptoms continued to develop, resulting in many fatalities despite the administration of naloxone.
2-methyl-maf has not yet been thoroughly tested yet, but if it is a close analogue to Fu-F, it can be expected to have similar side effects – namely nausea, itching of the skin and even a potentially dangerous respiratory depression – a tendency to cause difficulty in breathing. As the latter is likely to be stringer in the presence of alcohol, the combination could even be deadly.
To know about 2-methyl-maf effects we recommend to read about Furanylfentanyl (Fu-F) as both of these drugs are similar. However, 2-methyl MAF hasn’t been properly tested yet. Possible 2-methyl maf could include nausea, skin itching, difficulty in breathing. Don’t use 2-methyl maf with alcohol as it could be extremely dangerous and even lead to death cases.
